Hello Kitty Cafe: Foodie Review

Hello kitty, kerokeropi! Admit it you sang it in your head,  didn’t you? Right in the childhood! Good news! Themed cafes are becoming a fad in the Philippines and looks like they’re here to stay! That’s super great for us because the Hello Kitty cafe just landed in the Metro and into our hearts.

The place is just a small “stall” with a few tables ND and chairs.  So small, that they couldn’t put up a wall. They made do by putting up really kawaii fences and signboard. They decorated the space with pink and white of course. And a lot a lot a lot of hello kitty faces.

Hello kitty cafe had about 3 people working there in total. Since it really is tiny, they don’t need a lot of staff. They did interact with me quite nicely. But the best part is that their uniforms are amazingly adorable! Really Japan feels.

Strawberry Cheese Cake (Php185)

This is super sweet. If you’re an even bigger sweet tooth than I am, this dessert is for you! I found it too sweet, frankly. But look at how pretty it is! It almost was a shame to ruin the aesthetic by eating it. The best way to enjoy this is with bitter coffee. Unfortunately,  the coffee I ordered wasn’t a great complement to the cake, but holds his own.

Cafe Latte (Php 125)

Even their drinks have hello kitty’s face on it! This didn’t taste out of the ordinary, but does taste great.

Donuts (Php 85-95)

They have donuts with the faces of the characters on them!! There’s Hello Kitty, Badz Maru, Kerokeropi, and My Melody! My favorite would probably be the My Melody one. The taste is very generic, but so instagram worthy! Any fan would die to try this!

Overall of Hello Kitty Cafe

The coffee so-so, the sweets, a tad too sweet, and the place a bit public, but I’ll definitely be back here! The kawaii factor of the place is just exploding! Everything was aesthetic and that made my stay so so SO nice! I read my book while lounging here and it felt really calming.
