Solo Travel. Sure, I’ve travelled. Not so much that I’ve been to everywhere, but more than the usual person, I reckon. But all my travels, local and international, have been with friends, family, or my special someone. I have travelled with strangers, (then we turned into friends after) but we still went as a group. On April, I’ll be going off ALL BY MYSELF (*cue song*) in a faraway land. Okay, not so far, but in a country where English isn’t the primary language.
Even before Haiyan, a lot of people never saw Leyte as a tourist destination. With its rural charms and resilient people, Leyte bounced back from the throes of devastation and came back better that ever. Of course, the rehabilitation after the great typhoon isn’t totally complete yet, but the progress was amazing. This province should definitely be in your must-visit list!
Pristine clean waters, pale fine sand, and uncrowded beaches. Those are what Bantayan Island boasts of. Water so clean that their waters near the port are still so blue and you can see the bottom. Located at the Northern part of Cebu, it’s pretty far from the city. The perfect getaway if you love the quiet and the sea. Transportation, accommodation, things to do, places to see, and everything in between!
Last 2014, I had spent more than a week enjoying the sights and sounds and taste, definitely taste, of Singapore! It was crazy for spending such a long time away for one destination, but it was totally worth the trip.
